My Story
During my time in retail, I gained a reputation for being a supportive figure to those in need. Having started working in retail at the age of 16 and faced personal challenges related to familial toxicity, it prompted me to embark on a journey of self-improvement. My desire to assist others in their struggles led me to pursue qualifications such as NVQ Levels 2, 3, and 4 at Blackpool College/University, culminating in achieving a Level 5 in psychodynamic training.
My practical experience at addiction services in Blackpool exposed me to diverse mental health challenges and backgrounds, fostering a passion for supporting individuals dealing with complex mental health issues. Despite having to temporarily pause my work due to welcoming my second child and the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, I leveraged this time to establish my own private practice from home. Transitioning to offering online and telephone counseling, I later joined an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to extend my reach in providing support to those in need.

My mission
In my counseling practice, my mission is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences. I aim to create a non-judgmental and compassionate environment where clients can feel heard and understood. By actively listening and empathizing with their struggles, I strive to help clients gain insight and develop effective coping strategies. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and work collaboratively with clients to set goals and work towards positive change. Whether it is navigating relationship challenges, managing stress and anxiety, or processing past traumas, I am dedicated to helping individuals find healing, growth, and resilience. My counseling approach is tailored to each client's unique needs and focuses on fostering self-awareness, empowerment, and mental well-being.
My vision
My vision as a counsellor is to eventually establish my own clinic. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate through their challenges and providing them with the support they need to overcome their difficulties. Opening my own clinic would enable me to create a safe and welcoming space for clients to seek guidance and healing. I envision a place where people feel comfortable sharing their deepest concerns and where they can receive personalized treatment tailored to their unique needs. Having my own clinic would also allow me to have full autonomy over the therapeutic approaches and techniques I use, ensuring that I can provide the highest quality care to my clients. I am dedicated to continuously growing as a counsellor and am committed to making my vision a reality.
